Bear Hunt 2008

Kevin and the girls went out to look for bear cubs again this year and after a long day they found two at Ocmulgee Wildlife Management area, a male and a female. They were a bit older than the cubs we found last year at Oaky Woods WMA. These were about 5 weeks old, their eyes were open and they were crawling about. Their claws are amazingly sharp and Isabelle was scratched on the arm- she was very proud of where the "bear scratched her" and has been showing it to everyone.

Rosemary was really excited when she was telling me about the one that was snuffling around and eventually got into her lap and snuggled in.
